Message from Mr. Cusino:

Welcome to a new school year at Chautauqua High School (CT)! Our mission is rooted in the belief that family comes first—and at CT, we strive to create a family atmosphere where every student feels valued, supported, and connected. We want CT to be a place where students are excited to come each day, knowing they are part of a community that truly cares about them and their success.

Together with our dedicated staff, students will have countless opportunities to grow academically, prepare for their future, and discover their full potential. A growth mindset, regular attendance, active participation in discussions, completion of assignments, taking healthy risks, demonstrating positive behavior, and self-advocating for their learning will guide students toward reaching their goals.

In addition, students will develop essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. When paired with integrity, responsibility, respect, cooperation, work ethic, and positive relationships, these attributes will equip them for success well beyond high school.

We know that lasting success is only possible when students, families, and staff work together. Families play a vital role in encouraging good habits, reinforcing positive values, and celebrating growth. At CT, we consider families our partners in education, and we honor the trust you place in us to help your children thrive.

Our hope is that this year provides students with meaningful learning experiences, lasting memories, and the inspiration to pursue their dreams.
